Full Swing

This year is officially in full swing! We are working very hard at Chandler Elementary.

As we begin the year, as all teachers do, we are starting with the basics and building our way up. Currently, we are learning place value up to the hundred thousands, cause and effect, story elements, the scientific method, and what it means to be a good citizen.

My students are having a little difficulty grasping place value. Any hints?? I would love any advice or resources anyone could offer!

As a first year teacher, I am limited on experiences and resources. That's where this blog comes in. If anyone out there stumbles across this blog, please please PLEASE feel free to offer advice and resources!
